Danny Ketch

Daniel "Danny" Ketch, also known as Ghost Rider and Death Rider, is a fictional character and superhero from Marvel comics, appearing as the deuteragonist of The Ghost Rider comics.

He is the second person to become the Ghost Rider by fusing with Noble Kale instead of Zarathos, but later becomes the Spirit of Corruption known as Death Rider. He is the Half-brother of Johnny Blaze, and was a member of the Secret Defenders, New Fantastic Four, and the Midnight Sons.

He was created by Howard Mackie and Javier Saltares, and first appeared in Ghost Rider (Vol. 3) #1 in May of 1990.

Overview

History

Danny Ketch was born to Naomi Kale and Barlton Blaze alongside his older brother Johnny Blaze at the carnival alongside Crash Simpson and Roxanne Simpson. Danny Ketch was born as the youngest of his siblings under his sister barbara and johnny. Unknown to the blaze family Naomi was a descendant of Noble kale one of the earliest Ghost Riders and would eventually come a member of the kale clan as the next Ghost Rider. As he got older his father died while he was taken in by his adoptive family the Ketchs and his sister Barbara was killed and Naomi faked her own death after speaking with the caretaker that both of her sons will become ghost riders as a safeguard.

He would forget his parents as he and Barbara were too young to remember dan had a normal childhood where had in interest in motorcycles growing up and later sees the death of his sister later makes a deal with noble kale and becomes ghost rider. Johnny Blaze would later reunite with his long-lost half-brother and tells him of their connection They later decide to team up against the wicked to protect the innocent. Danny as Ghost Rider was even more heroic than his brother and reunites with his childhood sweetheart Stacy Dolan who is now a cop. After dan gave up being ghost rider would become the spirit of Corruption the Death rider where he would continue to punish the wicked,

Powers and Abilities

Dan ketch is a skilled motor cyclist with superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and durability. He can also use the penance stare and hellfire as well as chains.

  • Grieco reprised his voice for the character in The Incredible Hulk.
