Christine "Chris" Higgins (born 1961), is the main protagonist and sole survivor of the third Friday the 13th slasher horror film.
She was portrayed by Dana Kimmell.
Biography
First encounter with Jason Voorhees
Chris was one of the few people to have seen Jason Voorhees before the time when he had opportunity to go on a mass killing spree and survived. (While on vacation with her parents at Higgins Haven in 1982), Chris and her parents got into a heated fight for arriving home late after a date with her boyfriend Rick. The result was Christine's mother hitting her; something she had never done before. Hurt and wanting to punish her folks, Christine ran out of their summer home and into the woods.
Finding rest at the base of tree, she sat there for a while and dozed off. Shortly after, Christine awoke to the sound of footsteps and looked behind her, thinking it was her father looking for her, but instead, Christine found herself looking at a hideous man with a knife, who gave chase to the girl. Christine managed to kick the knife out of the man's hand and run away in fear, but the man kept pulling her down to the ground. With a final ounce of strength, Chris passed out in the man's hands. When she woke up, Chris was back in her own bedroom the next day. Her parents said they didn't know anything about the man who attacked her.
What Chris didn't remember was that she regained consciousness in the deformed man's hands and broke free of his grip. She ran until she crossed paths with the local doomsayer named Abel, who noticed her terror of something. However, Christine did remember the hideous man's face and couldn't forget about it.
Last encounter with Jason Voorhees
Two years later Chris took all of her friends back to Higgins Haven for summer holidays. She notices Shelly's dead body inside a closet but it turns out Shelly was just trolling everyone as usual which causes the group to start hating Shelly.
When the night time comes all of her friends start getting killed by Jason due to them wanting to have sex and start separating with each other but Chris and Rick are unaware of this due to them taking a drive so that Chris could tell Rick her story about getting attacked by Jason but she still cannot remember who he was exactly only that he had a hideous face.
Chris and Rick return to the house but find out that everyone is dead also leading to Rick getting killed by Jason due to them both splitting up to find everyone which leaves Chris as the sole survivor of the group. Jason attempts to kill her multiple times but Chris evades him the first time by stabbing him in the knee with a knife she got out of Debbie's corpse and the second time by bringing the window up in the truck so that he would get his hands stuck in the window. Jason pursues Chris towards the barn where she ambushes him and hangs him after pushing him off the second story barn. However Jason is still alive and releases himself from the rope while revealing the same hideous face that Chris remembers. Chris manages to "kill" Jason by slamming a woodcutter axe into Jason's forehead and he collapses on the ground.
Chris then wakes up in a boat with Jason looking at her through a window and running towards her. Trying to get away Chris attempts to row the boat but looks back and see's that Jason is gone but is pulled underwater by Pamela Voorhees soon after. But it is revealed to just be a nightmare and Chris is arrested and taken to a hospital due to showcasing unstable behaviour after the events of last night.

- In the script, she was originally meant to die, with Jason decapitating her. The footage of the scene is lost, but there are still images of it on the internet.
- Chris heavily influenced Jenny Myers, a character in Friday the 13th: The Video Game.
