Bu Lianshi (in Chinese: 步練師), also known as Lady Bu (in Chinese: 步夫人), is a supporting character in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. She is a wife of the Wu emperor, Sun Quan. She is also a servant of Lady Sun and daughter-in-law of Sun Jian.

She was voiced by Akemi Kanda, who also voiced Sanzang in both the Dynasty Warriors and Warriors Orochi series. In the English dub, she is voiced by Cristina Valenzuela in Dynasty Warriors 7 & 8, who is also voiced Hestu and Tulin in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and later represented voiced as the same character in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In the 9th installment of Dynasty Warriors English dub, she is voiced by Ratana.

Biography

Early Career

Many histories in China whom refer to her as a "Perfect Wife", she is famous for being a noblewoman. Lianshi was said to be very honest, she is usually helped her family to do some guidance. She was a relative of Bu Zhi, an Chancellor of Eastern Wu. As well as she leave more inclusion, then her own polite behavior can cause related emotions. During the final years of the Han Dynasty, she and her mother moved to Lujiang but were forced to travel to Jiangdong after Lujiang was conquered by Lord Sun Ce. When Lianshi meet Sun Quan at the first time, who was attracted by her beauty, and became her favorite concubine.

Meeting Sun Quan and Arranged for Marriage

Lianshi is frequently associates with her family, so never have do something wrong with others and will be more satisfied when she thought about it. She has seems to be a beautiful woman with faithfully, even if her husband has always to believes her. Someone know that Lianshi is a role model, she was taken over by Sun Quan. As an bodyguard herself by proxy though was in participation to all the battles, Lianshi was very loyal to Sun Shangxiang and she show to be genial with her. She needing to assist Sun Quan to attacked Huang Zu at Xiakou, Cao Cao at Chibi and Liu Bei at the later on.

She gets information to Sun Shangxiang when Shu repelled Wei with the help of Wu and Jiangling is captured, forcing Cao Cao to run away. However, in dismally, Zhou Yu is going to fighting in which he badly wounded by the poisoned arrow and excruciation of having learned about Liu Bei's forces taking over Jing Province. Due to the correction relationship between Shu and Wu, Lianshi and Sun Quan are make Liu Bei to married Shangxiang, hesitate forth its Zhou Yu, who suffers from sick and thinks about his betrayed by Zhuge Liang, his mainly rival. Hoping to lets the spouse escaped from Jianye to Chengdu, Lianshi then takes care for Sun Quan without Zhou Yu's bothering on them. Failure to assassination to Liu Bei, Zhou Yu died after he seeing his lord for last time. But in spite of Zhou Yu's demise, Lianshi keep support Sun Quan and Wu and they defended Ruxukou from Wei's assaults. Under Sun Quan's doom, Lianshi just wage to collected several of her luxury items when she was free. As a couple, Lianshi and Sun Quan gave birth to two daughters called Sun Luban and Sun Luyu. Prior the foundation of the Wu kingdom, Lianshi accompanied Wu tactical officer, Lu Xun, Lu Meng, and Sun Quan to heads on Fan Castle in their plan of attacked Shu. She starting with aided Wei when Guan Yu is able for being violently to kill Pang De causing Yu Jin to surrendered, and soon had going to be dreading instead. Upon the Wu forces are appear to fight Guan Ping and Zhou Cang, Lianshi help Lu Meng to convinces with Mi Fang and Fu Shiren, making them join Wu and stand up to Guan Yu.

Meanwhile, after learning his son and Zhou Cang are slain, Guan Yu preparation for protesting with his rival, but the duo fights is too tempestuous when Lianshi, who coming to repelled Shu in curious to finished off the God of War under her husband's wish. After Guan Yu's death, Lianshi, Sun Quan, and Lu Xun received a freedom as Lu Meng unlucky to suffering from illness which he eventually died after said the last words to them. Upon Lu Meng's gone, Sun Quan is grieve of the mourned to his late friend while he had already done to seized the power domination to the empire.

By the year in creation of the kingdom of Wu, Lianshi could let her husband take it easy which they join to attacked Liu Bei's army at Yiling. Fortunately, Sun Quan scheduled the verdict to attain on the empire throne that allowing Lianshi to become a truly benevolent empress. However, many Sun officers felt that Lady Xu, the adoptive mother of the inheriting prince Sun Deng, should be the empress instead. Sun Quan refused at the request of his subjects, but he did not make Bu his empress either. Although Lianshi was never as a noble queen throughout his life, the palace assistants would go to her as "empress", while her relationship was referring to her as "Lady Bu".

Attack on New Hefei Castle

During the striking of New Hefei Castle, Lianshi could following Sun Quan on guides Wu forces with then into battleground started in tussle which evading from being killed by Wei.

When Lianshi died, however, he was granted her the posthumous title of Zhuifeng Jing'ai and buried her in a mausoleum at Purple Mountain. Lianshi is one of the playable characters and an ally in the Dynasty Warriors video game series. In Warriors Orochi series, Lianshi is sometimes pessimistic when she was sacrifice for her mistress's flees from Wu and gets controlled by Kiyomori Taira in order to served him. She went to dueled with the coalition at Nagashino because of her husband and the others are also controlled by the sorcerer. In Mikatagahara, she supported Lu Meng, Kiyomasa, and Masanori to find Gan Ning, Ling Tong, and Mitsunari. Upon her misguided the Tokugawa army for Wei, Lianshi eventually join the coalition and orders them to save a peasents from Dong Zhuo's alliance. She also fights the Hojo and the Sun family with her husband, and brings them to their side.

Personality

Lianshi is charismatic, beautiful, devoted, serious, polite, caring, gracefully, wise, and light-heart noble lady who expressed strong support to Sun Shangxiang and Sun Quan. If any of them doubt themselves, Lianshi is someone who advocates restoring their freedoms in a friendly and good tone. Even though she has a close relationship with her master, Lianshi is well aware of her status as a servant. However, she unnecessary to sacrifice herself to protect them. While more reasonable than her husband, Lianshi staying to her duties had always surprised when a woman or master travels to her rescue.
