Axe Woves is a minor character in Season 2, and a supporting character in Season 3 of The Mandalorian. He served the Mandalorian resistance during the New Republic era.

History

Season 2

While Axe, Bo-Katan Kryze, and Koska Reeves were on the planet Trask, they encountered Din Djarin and Grogu on the Quarren ship in distress and rescued them. When Din suspected that he and his companions were not Mandalorians, Bo-Katan explained to him about his cult, after which Din and Grogu left the ship before it exploded, as did he, Bo-Katan, and Koska. After he, Bo-Katan, and Koska saved Din and Grogu from yet another vengeful Quarren force, Din later decided to help them acquire weapons to retake Mandalore. During the mission, he, Din, Bo-Katan, and Koska had to fight against Imperial stormtroopers, and when the captain of the Imperial ship crashed the ship, destroying him and the others, he and the others managed to land the ship safely, and they obtained weapons from it.

Season 3

Later, when Axe took command of the Bo-Katan's fleet, he and the rest of his forces then operated on the planet Plazir-15, securing the planet under the employ of the Plazir royal family. When Din, Bo-Katan, and Grogu arrived from Plazir-15, they first helped with the planet's droid malfunction problem before meeting him and the rest of his crew. Upon meeting them, Bo-Katan challenged him to a duel for command of the fleet, and although Bo-Katan did not have a Darksaber during the battle, she managed to defeat him in a duel, after which he and the others began to follow Bo-Katan in retaking Mandalore. They first traveled back to Nevarro where they met Din Djarin and Grogu's cult, and first a feast was prepared for him and the others, and the next day he and the other Mandalorians set out for Mandalore, and began to search for the remains of the great forge and secure a safe haven that they would then call other Mandalorians. During the mission, they encountered Moff Gideon, on the loose, and his armored Imperial commandos, who attempted to destroy him and the others. He and the other Mandalorians fought Moff Gideon and his army valiantly, and during a fierce battle they defeated Moff Gideon and reclaimed Mandalore. After the battle ended, he and the other Mandalorians gathered in front of the great forge, and after Bo-Katan lit the forge on fire, he and the other Mandalorians shouted together "For Mandalore".
