Art Lean is a minor character of the first Mortal Kombat film. He is an Earthrealm fighter and meets Johnny Cage on the dock while he and other warriors of the Earthrealm wait to board the boat to the Mortal Kombat tournament.
He is portrayed by Kenneth Edwards.
History
Art Lean is one of the few peoples who believe in the authenticity of Johnny Cage's martial arts. After Cage mentioned seeing Lean battle in London and impressed his skills, Lean replied "I saw a couple of your films. Listen, you can't fake those moves." Cage, smirk, mentions that he has should tell the reporter.
Before the tournament, he participated in the feast and joined Cage, Liu Kang, and Sonya Blade. Lean and Cage expressed shock and discomfort after witnessing Sub-Zero freezing a minion and breaking him into pieces at the beginning of the tournament.
Later on, Art Lean is killed by Goro in battle, but his soul is being taken by Shang Tsung. However, in the end, his soul has been freed from Shang Tsung by Liu Kang.
