The Immediate Murder Professionals, abbreviated as I.M.P, is a startup assassination business within Hell. The founder and CEO is Blitzo, and their office is located in the seventh floor of a condemned company building.
The company originally operated illegally with the use of Stolas' Grimoire, but as of "The Full Moon", having received an Asmodean Crystal, are conducting business legally under Asmodeus' jurisdiction.
Description
I.M.P was founded by Blitzo and is run by him along with his employees, consisting of fellow Imps, Moxxie and Millie, as well as his adoptive Hellhound daughter, Loona. The company offers the unique service of eliminating living targets still on Earth as a form of settling the unfinished business of Hell's residents.
This was previously done through the use of Stolas' Grimoire that opened portals to Earth, allowing the assassins access to their human targets. However, as of "The Full Moon", they now use an Asmodean Crystal that was given to Blitzo by Stolas.
While they do not accept contracts unless the targets are in the living world, they may accept special requests either if enough money is offered or they get to kill someone; an example of this is shown when Stolas hired them as bodyguards in order to safely visit Loo Loo Land with his daughter and they got to kill several would-be assassins targeting Stolas.
History
At some point before the start of the series, Blitzo started a freelance assassination business, I.M.P, which began as an operation in Hell.[1][2]
At some point, while Blitzo was imprisoned in the Greed Ring, he met his cellmate Moxxie.[1] At some point after their escape, Blitzo hired Moxxie.[3]
At some point after Blitzo opened I.M.P, he hired Loona as their receptionist.
Sometime before the start of the series, after poaching a hit from Blitzo and Moxxie, seeing her potential, Blitzo tracked Millie down in order to recruit her. After a bar fight, Blitzo hired Millie.[2]
Prior to the series, Blitzo attempted to break into Stolas' mansion to steal the Goetic Prince's grimoire in order to obtain access to the living world. After being caught and then alone with the prince, Blitzo seduced Stolas and escaped with the grimoire the next morning.[4]
Blitzo then leased a rundown office space to be their headquarters, and using the grimoire he had stolen from Stolas, Blitzo went on to formally establish I.M.P as a business of killing humans on Earth for sinners.[2]
In the non-canon Helluva Boss pilot, it was shown in the commercial that a sinner from Ohio had hired I.M.P, in a flashback that Stolas had hired I.M.P to kill a political candidate convincing people global warming exists, and an unknown client who hired I.M.P to kill Eddie.
In "Murder Family", I.M.P are hired by a sinner named Mrs. Mayberry to kill the woman who ruined her life, but before the job, Moxxie accidentally sets fire to their office, with Loona securing the grimoire. During the job, Stolas calls Blitzo and offers an exchange wherein they meet on the full moon each month so Stolas can use his grimoire followed by a night of sexual relations, but for the rest of the time I.M.P can keep and use the grimoire to continue illegally doing their business, and with no other choice Blitzo agreed.
In "Loo Loo Land", Stolas hires I.M.P as bodyguards for his and Octavia's trip to Loo Loo Land.
In "Spring Broken", after Verosika Mayday steals the I.M.P parking spot, Blitzo issues a challenge to assassinate more humans than her crew can have sex with. Blitzo creates a flyer for discount service and I.M.P is hired to kill numerous spring breakers, however, after Millie kills the monster Verosika accidentally created they agree to keep it secret as long as I.M.P can use their parking space.
In "C.H.E.R.U.B", I.M.P are hired by a sinner named Loopty Goopty to kill his best friend and business partner, Lyle Lipton. During the job, I.M.P come up against members of C.H.E.R.U.B, who try to save and change the heart of their target.
In "Truth Seekers", after a successful hit and on their way back to hell, things go awry when D.H.O.R.K.S. agents One and Two capture Blitzo and Moxxie, requiring Millie and Loona to rescue them.
In "Ozzie's", I.M.P return to the headquarters after doing a job killing lumberjacks.
In "Seeing Stars", Octavia steals the grimoire that allows I.M.P to do their job, however, when Loona tracks her down in Los Angeles and brings her back, the book is returned to I.M.P.
In "Exes and Oohs", I.M.P are brought to the Greed Ring under the pretense of it being a business venture in hell, but arrive to find it was a setup by Moxxie's father to get Moxxie there and marry Chaz into their mafia.
In "Unhappy Campers", a sinner comes to hire I.M.P to investigate his murder, but as Blitzo is too busy, Moxxie is placed in charge to accomplish the hit. However, the job takes five days to complete.
In "The Full Moon", on the day of the full moon, I.M.P return to the headquarters after doing a job and Blitzo begins preparing for his rendezvous with Stolas in order to keep using Stolas' grimoire. That night, Stolas ends their arrangement and takes back his grimoire, however, he gifts Blitzo an Asmodean Crystal so that I.M.P can continue doing their job but legally under Asmodeus' jurisdiction.
In "Ghostf**kers", I.M.P are facing bankruptcy due to Blitzo spending all their funds to cope with his breakup with Stolas, and has not been paying the employees for a month. Blitzo and Millie take a job by a sinner named Rita to find and kill a supposed ghost haunting a spooky hotel.
In "Mastermind", I.M.P is still recovering from bankruptcy but is met by enthusiastic demons who are willing to work as interns for the company. I.M.P is almost endangered when the crew are arrested for their illegal activities and put on trial for execution, but subsequently gains popularity when they become the first Hellborns to survive a trial. Some demons even emailed Blitzo, some of them asking if the organization is hiring.
In "Sinsmas", I.M.P is celebrating the holiday of the same name in their headquarters. Stolas takes on the role of being their receptionist, which allows Loona to join the three on a mission. A sinner comes into the office to hire I.M.P to murder her ex-husband who cheated on her with another man, a situation similar to Blitzo and Stolas'. After seeing the happy family, Blitzo calls the hit off and throws the client out of the building.
Advertising
Blitzo has made several expensive advertising campaigns with varying degrees of effectiveness.
I.M.P Jingle
- Main article: I.M.P Jingle
In the non-canon Helluva Boss pilot, a series of TV adverts prominently starring Blitzo and featuring a jingle that he wrote. Much to Moxxie's annoyance, Blitzo used up most of his employees' salaries funding it, paying for it to be run for three hours straight on an unpopular TV channel, then blamed Moxxie for the company's poor performance.
Billboard
A single billboard near I.M.P Headquarters, Blitzo attempted to have it say "Got an asshole in the living world? Come to I.M.P!" with a big picture of Blitzo and a giant arrow pointing to the I.M.P office. The advertising company instead used poor-quality speech-to-text software when making it, with the billboard reading "Goat an asshole in the living worlds!? Come to I Am Pee!!!!??! Make sure you put this sign on the rite side. Don't fuck this up. Also payment may take a few weeks because it cums in the mail. SPEECH TO TEXT. Blitzo.", and pointed the arrow away from the office.
Spring Break flyer
In "Spring Broken", Blitzo made this promotional flyer during his challenge with Verosika Mayday over a parking spot, advertising a discount for contracts for that day. Despite Blitzo only creating one flyer (and Moxxie saying that the flyer contained poor spelling and bad grammar), it was proved to be wildly successful and attracted a line of customers stretching down the street.

Trivia
- The I.M.P initials form the word "Imp", which is the demon species of Blitzo, Moxxie, and Millie.
- In "Murder Family", it is revealed that the building I.M.P operates out of is supposedly condemned.
- Later in "Spring Broken", it is revealed that other companies are operating in the building, primarily succubus companies which have their own floor.
- The I.M.P van's front bears a slight resemblance to a 1992 GMC Vandura/Chevrolet van. The color scheme may be a reference to television series The A-Team, which also featured a black Vandura with a red stripe on both sides.
- The I.M.P poster in "Seeing Stars" reveals that the company's phone number is 666 08432190 and that Blitzo's office safe passcode is 1234.
- In "Exes and Oohs", Blitzo reveals on his phone call with Crimson that I.M.P used to be for-hire for killing targets in Hell[5] as well, but no longer do this for reasons currently unknown.
- In the French version of the non-canon Helluva Boss pilot, I.M.P is translated to "Infâmes Meurtriers Professionnels", which roughly means "Odious Professionals Murderers".
- As revealed by Moxxie in "Unhappy Campers", the company usually does not do investigations of the client's murder, most likely because it was the first time they've ever had a client with no knowledge of their killer. All clients prior to the episode have always had photos or stories to tell of the contracts in need of fulfilling.
- Now that Blitzo has an Asmodean Crystal in his possession, this means that I.M.P. is no longer an illegal organization in Hell. However, this also means that the company could be shut down if Asmodeus ever decides to take back the crystal since the company is now legally under his jurisdiction.
- In "Ghostf**kers", I.M.P had their first shown Sinner client who hired them to assassinate a Hellborn demon on Earth, albeit under the belief they were a ghost.
- In "Mastermind" when Millie destroys the computer during getting arrested, a flyer can be seen saying "CALL US!! 666_08432190".
- In "Sinsmas", Blitzo called off an assassination mission for the first time.
