A viper is a species of venomous snake.[2]
History
Powder of vipers-flesh was used as a potion ingredient, such as in The Famous French Method for the Bite of a Mad Dog.[3][4]
During the 1379 duelling contest, the second semi-finalist transformed himself into a viper, allowing him to bite his opponent (who had transformed himself into a bull) on the leg, winning him the duel and sending his opponent to the floor in pain.[1]
