The Harpy was a possibly mythological and magical creature. The Holyhead Harpies were named after the Harpy, and their team robes included what was presumably a golden Harpy talon on the chest.[1]
The Harpy's Bazaar located in Diagon Alley had a harpy statue as a part of its building.[2]
Veela could transform into Harpy-like creatures when they were angered.[3] During the 2014 Quidditch World Cup final, Ginny Potter noted the strong resemblance between Harpies and Veela in their transformed state.[4]
