Elek was a centaur who lived in the Forbidden Forest during the late 19th century.^[1]

Biography

During the 1890–1891 school year, he was the leader of the centaur pack that met with Poppy Sweeting and the new fifth-year student from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when they tried to petition the centaurs to help them rescue the Golden Snidgets before Victor Rookwood's Poacher Pack could find them.^[2]

Elek refused to hear them out and wanted to execute them for trespassing. However, an older centaur, Dorran stepped in and reminded him that killing children is not their way. Elek relented, but promised all three of them would die if he ever saw the two of them again.^[3]

Behind the scenes

Elek is voiced in Hogwarts Legacy by Luke Youngblood, the voice actor and film actor who incidentally also portrayed Lee Jordan in the Harry Potter films.^[4]
