UNSC Herodotus

The UNSC Herodotus was a Halberd-class destroyer^[1] of the UNSC Navy.^[2]

Operational History

The Herodotus saw action at the Battle of Reach. It was destroyed by a Covenant Supercruiser with a previously unknown weapon. This weapon projected a thin beam of charged energy particles from a distance of 100,000 kilometers, and bisected the Herodotus from bow to stern. This weapon would later become known as an Energy projector. It is unknown if there were any survivors.^[2]
