Hastati Squad was a squad of freshmen cadets being trained at the Corbulo Academy of Military Science in 2526.
Service History
In 2526, the squad was still in training, using all the different intellectual and physical equipment possible.[1]
On April 26, 2526, the Covenant launched a surprise attack on the planet Circinius IV, where the CAMS campus is located. Only three of the cadets escaped when Blue Team arrived on the planet, thanks to Thomas Lasky's distress beacon.[1]

Trivia
- Due to the name of the school, cadet squads were often Roman themed, such Hastati.[2] The name “hastati” in particular refers to a class of infantry used by the ancient Romans.[2]
