Fireteam Bailey was a team of Spartan-IVs who were sent out to protect the diplomats on Ealen IV.
History
In March 2558, Fireteam Bailey was assigned to provide escort for Fleet Admiral Terrence Hood, Kaidon Thel 'Vadam, and Jiralhanae Chieftain Lydus. Fireteam Bailey stood by the ships as the other teams went with the convoy to the processing center. While Hood, Arbiter and Lydus negotiated peace they were attacked by Jul 'Mdama's Covenant. The Fireteam faced heavy resistance but managed to protect the diplomats all the way to the Redoubt. A Lich attempted to break the Redoubt's defenses, but too was repelled.
When Commander Sarah Palmer arrived at the Redoubt, the Fireteam stayed behind to allow the delegates to escape to UNSC Infinity. Using a Tyrant anti-air gun, the Fireteam managed to hold off Vata 'Gajat and his forces long enough to escape, but DeMarco was killed when the cannon was destroyed.[1] His sacrifice was later commemorated at a service aboard Infinity.
