The Workers were workers (also known as construction workers) that were cut from Half-Life 2. They are the predecessor to the Borealis Workers.

Overview

The worker wears a green and orange jumpsuit with the Combine logo on the back as he is the successor to the Borealis Worker. He along side other workers were to be used in cut factory portions of the game. Like most of the beta he only has idle animations. He and other construction workers were to use the Backhoe (a vehicle and tool cut from Half-Life 2).

Originally his only model was male_07 but was later fixed with added models in the Mega Patch v.4.1 patch on July 8, 2018. They Mega Patch also added extra voice lines and animations to the worker. It also added the option for them to pickup weapons like citizens did.
