Yumie is a short, elderly woman with a round face, short gray hair, and thick eyebrows. She is always shown with a gentle smile.
Personality
Yumie is a hardworking and kind woman. She taught her grandson, Shinsuke, the importance of doing things correctly and keeping things clean, because, as she said, "someone is always watching," referring to the gods. She is very supportive of her grandson.
Plot

Yumie makes a few brief appearances in Shinsuke's flashbacks, where she is shown talking to him and cleaning. It is revealed that she had a strong influence on the young Shinsuke, which is most likely the origin of his desire to do things properly.
In the manga, she is seen at the Tokyo Gym watching the match between Inarizaki and Karasuno in order to support Shinsuke and even wore a sweater with his name on it[1]. However, her only appearance in the anime is in flashbacks.
