Pool of Purging

The Pool of Purging is an interactable object that can be found in the Underworld. In it, Boons can be washed away and converted into Obols.

Function

When interacted with, up to three Boons are randomly selected from your current Boons to potentially be purged. The amount of Obols received is dependent on the rarity and level of the Boon purged.

Pools will not appear within any biome during the first run of a save file, or at any point within Tartarus. Stairways following a boss will always contain a Pool, even on first runs, and if Underworld Customs is active, you will need to purge at least one Boon to leave.

Notes

• Boons from Chaos and Bouldy will not appear within the Pool's selection.
• Boons purged at the Pool will give no Obols while under Chaos' Pauper's curse.
• The Pool's selection can be re-rolled using Fated Persuasion.
• There is an achievement tied to purging a legendary boon called "Thanks, But No Thanks".
