SEED is a parasitic drug of extraterrestrial origin in the world of Gungrave. It has the power to enhance or transform other organisms into Orgmen.
Description
SEED is a weird white-blue chemical that can be injected into the body. Often trafficked by powerful criminal organizations, a low-quality version of the drug is sold as an enhancement/designer drug, which makes the user stronger and more resilient than normal alongside its potent euphoric effects. However, the drug has intense side effects which slowly deteriorate the user, leading to insanity and eventually death. There is a variant of more refined SEED, Pure SEED, which transforms the users into Orgmen. The reason for this is that SEED is originally derived from a parasitic alien lifeform called Methuselah, whose only reason to live is to reproduce by corrupting other lifeforms.
Counter SEED
Normally the only way to "save" a person infected with SEED is to kill them, but Garino managed to develop a prototype counter-seed which later on saves Mika at the end of Gungrave: Overdose.
