Thaedus is the overarching protagonist of the Image comic cook series Invincible. Thaedus initially worked for the Viltrumite Empire before he defected from them. Thaedus realized just how wrong and misguided the Viltrumites are for killing alien species to make them the superior race. The social Darwinist philosophy of the Viltrumites caused Thaedus to create the Scourge Virus that had resulted in the death of 99.9% of the Viltrumite population. With the Viltrumites in their weakened state, Thaedus created the Coalition of Planets to save the remaining alien species from the Viltrumites.
What Makes Him A Guile Hero?
- Upon realizing the evil of the Viltrumite Empire, Thaedus defected from them and fought back by creating a special Virus called the "Scourge Virus" which will only kill the Viltrumites.
- Was able to kill 99.9% of the Viltrumite Empire by using the Scourge Virus.
- Forms the Coalition of Planets and leads them to battle against the Viltrumite Empire from conquering the universe and enslaving alien races.
- Agrees with the Unopans to have a special breeding program to give birth to super soldiers to fight against the Viltrumites. Thaedus and the Unopans eventually stopped the project down once it proved ineffective.
- Was able to suspect that there is a traitor in the Coalition of Planets, after Allen's beatdown from 3 Viltrumites.
- Asked Allen to only talk to him about private information to ensure that the traitor among the Coalition of Planets won't give any private information to the Viltrumite Empire.
- Reveals himself to be a Viltrumite to Allen and asks Allen to bring Invincible to the Coalition of Planets to help them at their cause of defeating the Viltrumite Empire.
- Created a stronger version of the Scourge Virus to make sure that incase the Coalition of Planets loses against the Viltrumite Empire, then Thaedus will unleash the new Scourge Virus into the Viltrumite Empire again.
- Recruits a team of strong fighters to go with him and battle the Viltrumites on their planet Viltrum.
- Warns Invincible to not fight Thragg.
- He, Omni-Man, and Invincible blow up planet Viltrum to secure their Victory and defeat the Viltrumites.
- Asks Thragg to surrender his remaining Viltrumites while Thaedus tells Thragg that he is ready to face his wrath. Thaedus charges at Thragg and Thragg kills Thaedus by ripping the head of Thaedus.
- Before dying, Thaedus gives Allen a message to use the Scourge Virus just incase the Viltrumites have won the Viltrumite War.

- He, Invincible, Allen D.A. Sinclair, Rudolph Conners (Alternate), Oliver Grayson, and Omni-Man are the only seven Invincible characters from the Comics to be on the Guile Heroes Wiki.
