Kim Na-young (Hangul: 김나영) is a South Korean singer, dancer under Jellyfish Entertainment. She debuted as a member of Gugudan in 2016. She is the Lead Vocalist in Gugudan.
Early Life
Nayoung was born on November 23, 1995 in Yangcheongu, Seoul, South Korea. Nayoung's family consists of herself, parents, an older brother. She studied in Baekseok University of Arts.
Career
Pre-Debut: Produce 101
In January 2016, Nayoung with fellow trainees Sejeong and Mina, represented Jellyfish Entertainment on Mnet's reality girl group survival show "Produce 101" for the chance to debut in Mnet's girl group. Unfortunately, she was placed at 14th rank and didn't get the chance to become an official member of the group.
2016: Debut with Gugudan
On June 28, 2016, Nayoung debuted with Gugudan, which they released their 1st mini album "Act. 1 The Little Mermaid".
2018: Debut with the sub-unit Gugudan SEMINA
On July 10, 2018, debuted in Gugudan's second sub-unit Gugudan SEMINA with fellow members Sejeong and Mina, which they released their 1st single album "SEMINA".
2020: Gugudan's disbandment
On December 31, 2020, Gugudan disbanded after being together for the last four years of being together and the last two after no activities.
