Las Colinas is a neighborhood of Los Santos, San Andreas, that appears in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Description
Las Colinas is bordered by Glen Park to the southwest, Jefferson, East Los Santos, Los Flores and East Beach to the south, and Red County to the north.
It is a stronghold for the Los Santos Vagos gang. It is largely residential, working-class and with a high crime rate, and it neighbors other Vagos and Ballas territories, specifically Los Flores, East Beach, Glen Park, Jefferson and East Los Santos. It is a mostly raised district which contains steep downhills and uphills along with winding roads and alleyways. It is also the longest neighbourhood in the city.
Las Colinas is predominantly Mexican/Hispanic, and contains various small, single-family houses, apartments, small stores, a trailer park and a high-rise building in the east, just across the highway from the beach.
Influence
The neighborhood appears to have taken inspiration from various real-life neighborhoods within Northeast Los Angeles, and a slight influence of the Pico Aliso neighborhood in East Los Angeles. The eastern part appears to resemble real-life districts such as Cypress Park, Glassell Park and Eagle Rock; and contains more single family homes than the more urban western part, which takes strong influence from Highland Park, Lincoln Heights and Montecito Heights.
History
Events of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Las Colinas does not feature much during the storyline. During one mission, Carl Johnson and OG Loc chase Freddy, a homosexual Vagos gangster, through parts of Las Colinas, mainly because he attacked OG Loc when he was still in prison. Later, during Local Liquor Store, Carl and Catalina chase a group of robbers from a liquor store in Blueberry, Red County, in order to claim the money they robbed. The robbers eventually arrive and stop at their hideout in Las Colinas if the chase is not concluded until then.
It is also one of the districts that Tenpenny's Firetruck briefly passes through during the final story mission.

Trivia
- Las Colinas translates as "The Hills" in Spanish.
- Las Colinas is probably known as Chicano on the official GTA San Andreas game website map. [1] It is uncertain whether this was a beta name of the same neighborhood during development.
