Howlnado

Howlnado is a recurring Wind spell in Grandia. It often appears as the powerful Wind-elemental spell and attacks all enemies.

Grandia

Howlnado is a Level 3 magic spell that is learned when a characters Wind level reaches level 23. Howlnado deals heavy Wind-elemental damage to all enemies and costs 8MP to use. Howlnado can be cast by Great Susano-o and Layelah.

Besides dealing damage, Howlnado will also lift up all units besides the caster and some immobile bosses, and randomly drop them across the field. This will not interrupt allies actions, however. This shuffling aspect makes targeting enemies with area of effect spells difficult, but it can be used to redistribute allies to prevent enemy AoEs from hitting everyone, putting some distance between physically attacking enemies and their target, as well as cancelling allies' recovery time if they were recently hit (as they will still instantly pick themselves up regardless of what state they were in before).

Grandia II

Howlnado is a magic spell that inflicts Wind-elemental damage all enemies. It costs 45MP to cast and 320MC to initially learn. Howlnado has a steep growth rate and requires 1760MC to grow to its maximum level.

Howlnado can be learned from the Chaos, Dragon, Mist and Soul Eggs.

Grandia III

Howlnado is a spell that inflicts Wind-elemental damage to a circle of enemies and has a 40% chance of confusing any target it hits. It costs 26MP to cast and has a spell power of four stars.

Howlnado can be purchased for 1000G at the magic shops in the Terrarium and in Raflid Town, can be extracted from the Tempest Egg and Fenrir Eggs.

Grandia Xtreme

Howlnado is a spell that inflicts Wind-elemental damage to a range of enemies. It costs 32MP to cast and has an effect level of 11. Howlnado can be cast when a character is equipped with the Cyclone or Chaos Egg.

Howlnado can be cast by Bone Mantis, Falcon Devil, Land Cougar and Winged Brain.

Grandia: Parallel Trippers

Howlnado is an Action Card that inflicts Wind-elemental damage to all enemies. It costs 45AP to cast and has an initial effect level of 20 damage. Howlnado is dropped by Cold Mist, Gas Cloud and Haze.
