Otohime (乙姫 Otohime) is the boss of Underwater Palace (stage 3A) in Sexy Parodius.
Description
A giant female martial artist that resembles a giant egg. When defeated, she explodes into Maidens.
Attack patterns
Stay to the far left, and when she throws her knives, go slightly right if one is aiming for you. When she throws her head, stay to the far bottom-left. Once in a while, she will jump kick toward you. When this happens, head right, then above and back to the left. If she throws her head and it goes into the foreground, then background, get above and behind her.
When Otohime is destroyed, she does her hurt animation and then freezes at the last frame for a second before exploding into Maidens.
Trivia
- Otohime is based on Star, the first female opponent fought in Yie Ar Kung-Fu (Konami, 1985).
- Otohime's boss theme is a remix of the Israeli folk song "Mayim Mayim". In the PSP version, the music was replaced by a remix of the Russian folk song "Korobushka", also known outside Russia as "Tetris's Type-A".
