Benjamin McKenzie Schenkkan (born September 12, 1978), known professionally as Ben McKenzie, is an American actor and producer. He portrayed Jim Gordon on Gotham while also directing several of the show's episodes.

- Ben McKenzie previously voiced Bruce Wayne/Batman in the DC original animated film Batman: Year One, making him the only actor who has played both Batman and James Gordon.
- Ben McKenzie previously collaborated with Gotham creator Bruno Heller on a pilot for a CBS tv project that was not picked up.
- He is the only actor to have consistently appeared in every one of the show's episodes,
- He also played Basil in "Wrath of the Villains: A Legion of Horribles" and "Wrath of the Villains: Transference" when the character disguised himself as Gordon.
