War is a character in Amazon series Good Omens and is one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Significance in series
"The Book"
War is in a No Man's Land in North Africa, walking into a peace summit. She identifies herself as "Carmine Zingiber", a war correspondent from a news outlet called "National World Weekly".
Shortly after her arrival, the three faction leaders present begin to argue over who gets to sign the peace agreement first, tensions rise quickly. Before anyone has a chance to fire off the first shot, an International Express employee wanders into the shelter and walks straight up to Carmine. He casually hands her a long cardboard box, making a comment about "coming here on holiday" and then leaves after she signs his clipboard. She opens the box and reverently pulls out a sword. All the guns in the room point to her, but no one feels quite ready to shoot. She walks away from the peace agreement, and just as she leaves the gunshots start.
"The Doomsday Option"
War meets up with the other three Horse-people: Famine, Pollution, and Death. They ride from the restaurant to the Tadsfield Airbase where they sneak in under the guise of a "Surprise Inspection". Instead of inspecting, they incapacitate everyone in the communications lab, and infect the world-wide electrical grid, spreading the seeds of a nuclear extinction. When they have completed their task, the Horse-people leave the lab, and walk out to meet Adam and the Them on the tarmac.
"The Very Last Day of the Rest of Their Lives"
After Aziraphale (in Madame Tracy), Crowley, and Sgt. Shadwell show up, the Them proceed to stand up to the Horse-people. War is the first to go when Pepper kicks War in the leg, grabs the flaming sword and says, "I believe in peace, bitch." Pepper then uses the sword to defeat War. War dissolves in flames.
