- According to the Ars Goetia, Shax is a Marquis of Hell, who rules over thirty legions of demons. He can be summoned to steal senses and steal from kings.[1]
- When pretending to be a pedestrian in the episode "I Know Where I'm Going", Shax is wearing one of Crowley's old glasses he wore "11 Years Ago" (circa 2008 in the show).
- Shax's battle armor shows two storks, a reference to her Goetic counterpart.[2]
