Thrungva, also known as Sparrow's Bite, is one of Freya's signature swords. It was given to her by Baldur when he was younger, but after Odin took away her fighting spirit and Valkyrie wings, it became nothing more than an ornament. After regaining her fighting spirit following Baldur's death, Freya uses it to its full potential.

Thrungva is a sword with a shining metallic blade, it has an ornate design by the blade's base and pommel, divided by a plain dark brown grip. When wielded in combat by Freya, magical energy would climb to the blade from its base, making the sword gleam a shining yellow color, possibly from the Vanir goddess channeling her godly power onto the sword.
When not in use, Freya would sheathe the sword on a scabbard resting on her back.
Although it has no known esoteric power of note, being the weapon of choice for the original Valkyrie Queen already warrants that it is no ordinary blade. It is strong enough weapon to wound the likes of Vanir goddess like Gná and on one occasion, cut her head off clean. During Freya's pursuit of vengeance against Kratos, the sword was shown to be able to clash with the Leviathan Axe, a weapon that was forged to balance off Mjölnir by the hammer's own creators.

Like Mardöll, Thrungva is one of the Norse names for Freya. It means "the host".
