There was a US army tank called the MIM-46 Mauler, but it was armed with an anti-air missile battery instead of a tank turret.
A closer equivalent to the Mauler was the Rapid Deployment Force Light Tank, built by the AAI corporation in 1980, which the US turned down due to wanting a different main gun on it's light armor.
