Jynx was a Gear soldier in the Coalition of Ordered Governments army who participated in the Battle of Anvil Gate.

Seventeen years after Emergence Day, Jynx was part of a convoy of Gears led by Lt. Anya Stroud to assist the garrison at Anvil Gate when it came under attack by Locust forces. However, the convoy was ambushed by the Locust and Jynx's vehicle was overturned. He was set upon by a Locust Grenadier, who ripped off his arm and beat him to death with it as Jynx screamed in agony.[1]
