TIED SWORD (縁刀) is the second episode of GARO: Crimson Moon.[1]
Synopsis
At the request of the eastern guard dog place that bundles the Makai people in Kyoto, Rai and Hoshiaki decided to act together with the Makai Knight apprentice, Rokkaku Hisayori. Hisayori is said to have volunteered to become a disciple of Rai, who can summon the allegedly extinct golden armor, in order to learn the sword of the Makai Knight. Hisayori wants to inherit his father's armor as soon as possible.
Summary
Seimei reveals the man in the statue to be Ayashi Douman. At the behest of the Eastern Watchdogs, Raikou and Seimei take on an apprentice, Katsuragino Hisayori, who claims he wants to become a Makai Knight to follow in his father's footsteps. They hear of a Horror which has been targeting owners of well-known swords. Seimei questions Izumi Shikibu about Hisayori who confirms his background, however that night, Hisayori tries to steal Raikou's sword, claiming that it belonged to his father. When confronted Hisayori is revealed as a Horror, and Raikou wonders if he killed Hisayori's father when he was a Lost Soul Beast. Seimei realizes that they have been used by the Eastern Watchdogs to deal with Hisayori. However when given the choice, the sword chooses Raikou who becomes the Golden Makai Knight and slays Hisayori. Later, Seimei reveals that Hisayori killed his own father, information she kept from Raikou to test his resolve.
