Summary
While keeping Jio and Neraid in jail, the villagers go through their stuff to see if they have anything suspicious. Jio and Neraid try to convince the villagers to release them, however they are unsuccessful. Seeing that the villagers think badly of Reno, Jio realizes that they won't be able to change their mind as the villagers think they are comrades of Reno. Neraid then decides they should escape, and just rips open the jail bars. Neraid wants to go back to Reno, to talk with him. The villagers then beg Neraid to let them capture and execute them. A large explosion then occurs and the villagers realise that certain someone is coming.
Bronze, a Sludge Dragon, then comes through the wall. The villagers quickly greet him as their master. Bronze states that he has a good memory for which his mother always praised him and tries recalling their names, but as he couldn't, he states that he always had a bad memory, which is why his mother abandoned him. He then realizes that they are all standing up, which makes all the villagers to kneel in fear. Bronze looks at Neraid and Jio and doesn't recognizes them. He then sees the bend bars and wonders if the villagers failed his captain's orders and let someone escape. Neraid then states that he broke the bars and that he wants to leave through the hole that Bronze made. Bronze attacks him, but Neraid dodges, however he is surprised to see some sludge on his hands. He then asks the villagers if he can leave if he beats Bronze, to which they confirm, but states that he has no chance of winning.
Neraid then shakes off all the sludge and grabs it with his hand, revealing that he is also a dragonfolk. Bronze believes that Neraid is an idiot, since the sludge not only melts matter, but he can detonate it at will. As he tries to detonate it, he wonders why it isn't exploding and then notices that its actually detonating, but Neraid is suppressing the explosions in his fist. While his hand is still detonating, he punches Bronze, sending him flying. Neraid then introduces himself and explains that he is missing his memories and is traveling to learn who he really is.
