Warmobile

Warmobile

A warmobile is an airmobile designed for use in combat. Although warmobiles are designed for a variety of tasks, these mainly fall into three main groups: bombers, which are designed to drop bombs on enemy targets; fighters, which are designed to engage enemy warmobiles; and attack warmobiles, which are designed to support ground troops. These groups are further divided between land-based warmobiles, which operate from air bases; and sea-based warmobiles, which operate from ships called warmobile carriers.

During the Global War, Governor-General Bruce Hogg of the C.N.A. established a military base in Iceland in 1940 that he used to covertly supply weapons to Great Britain. The secret was a poorly-kept one, and by late 1943 British pilots were flying warmobiles directly from the Icelandic base to the British Isles. The North American warmobiles were instrumental in helping the British fend off a series of German invasion attempts between 1940 and 1944.
