Aquamobile

Aquamobile

An aquamobile is an armored motor-driven amphibious vehicle used for crossing terrain that includes a mix of land and water, such as swamps and river deltas.

During the Global War, the government of North American Governor-General Bruce Hogg supplied aquamobiles to Great Britain via the North American military base in Kopavogur harbor, Iceland. To maintain North American neutrality in the war, the fiction was maintained that the aquamobiles were being stolen by Icelandic fishermen and smuggled to waiting British ships. Britain's German enemies were well aware of the true state of affairs, but for diplomatic, military, and legal reasons, they were forced to ignore them.
