Underground Biomes is a mod originally by Exterminator Jeff, which was then taken over by Grom_PE and later Zeno410 under the name Underground Biomes Constructs. A while later the 1.12.2 version was made by kyeiti, under the original name. It was then taken again by Aang23. Underground Biomes is an overhaul of the underground layers of the Minecraft world. It generates biome-like veins of rock, which generate much differently than the normal biomes. Underground Biomes adds 58 new blocks and 2 new items.
There are three types of rock: Sedimentary, Metamorphic, and Igneous.
Sedimentary Rock is found in the strata layers of the world. Sedimentary Rocks cannot be turned into bricks or cobblestone. The Sedimentary Rocks include Limestone, Chalk, Shale, Siltstone, Lignite, Dolomite, Greywacke, and Chert.
Metamorphic Rock is found in the parts of the underground with more pressure and heat, or where Igneous Rocks do not generate. Metamorphic Rocks drop the cobblestone variations of the specific stone when mined. They can be turned into bricks and slabs. The Metamorphic Rocks include Gneiss, Eclogite, Marble, Quartzite, Blue Schist, Green Schist, and Migmatite.
Igneous Rock is found in the majority of the world. Igneous Rocks drop the cobblestone variations of the specific stone when mined. They can be turned into bricks and slabs. The Igneous Rocks include Red Granite, Black Granite, Rhylite, Andesite, Gabbro, Basalt, Komatiite, and Dacite.
