- This page is about the Shifter added by Charset. For other uses, see Shifter.
The Shifter is a block added by Charset. When powered by Redstone, it will push items in Pipes in the direction marked by the arrow, as well as optionally extract inventories from the side facing away from the arrow at a rate of 1 item per 16 ticks (0.8 seconds).

A simple setup, moving Cobblestone from the left Chest to the right Chest. -
A Shifter being used to make items only move to the left. -
The disabled Shifter has no effect- items can move left or right.
Right-clicking the Shifter with a block will add that block to the Shifter's filter, so only that only that block and the other blocks on it can be pushed by the Shifter. Each side, except for the output side, can store one block to be added to the Shifter's whitelist, allowing for a whitelist of five items.
