The Composite Vest is a heavy mid-range armor added by IndustrialCraft 2. It provides 9 armour points (4.5 armor symbols on the HUD) which is greater protection than vanilla's Diamond Chestplate. It also lasts far longer; with a capacity of 801 durability points compared to Diamond's 529, this makes it superior to any vanilla armour currently available.
