Big Reactors is a mod originally created by Erogenous Beef, and continued by ZeroNoRyouki and ABookFreak under the name Extreme Reactors. It is based around high-end multi-block power generators. These generators are in the form of large reactors, which are meant to be inspired by real-life systems. The reactor is modular, in that every block added to it will change how it works. It uses the Redstone Flux (RF) power system, but does not require mods like Thermal Expansion to be installed. It is, however, made to complement RF-using mods, as it only adds power-generation; nothing to use the power on. Big Reactors adds a single world-gen item called the Yellorite Ore.
Compatibility
Big Reactors' Steam is compatible with Railcraft Steam, as such Steam generated with a Railcraft Steam Boiler can be used to power a Big Reactors Steam Turbine. Also, Yellorium is compatible with IndustrialCraft 2's Uranium and Bluetonium is compatible with Plutonium.
As of the 1.10 versions of Big Reactors (Extreme Reactors), Big Reactors can generate Tesla instead of Redstone Flux.
Steam produced by Mekanism Fusion Reactors can be used to power Big Reactors turbines.
Bugs and glitches
If a Big Reactor is spread across multiple chunks, it can randomly lose fuel when loading and unloading chunks.
