The Basic Bin is a tile entity added by Mekanism. It can store a large quantity of a single item (up to 4,096). The items can be put inserted manually or automatically by the Logistical Transporter. However, they cannot be removed manually: transport pipes, e.g., the Basic Logistical Transporter, can be connected on each side of the block to remove them. It does not require power to function. The block shows the quantity of the item on its front face. With the Configurator the player can enable/disable the luminance of the block.

It is also used to craft the Advanced Bin.
