Frozen III is an upcoming American 3D CGI-computer animated film and sequel to the 2019 film, Frozen II, and the third installment of the Frozen It is being produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and will be distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It will be released in the U.S. on November 24, 2027.[1]

Production
Development
Frozen III was officially announced to be in development on February 8, 2023 by Disney CEO Bob Iger, during the Q1 earnings call.[5] In November 2023, Iger revealed that Frozen IV is in the works, with the new installment joining the previously confirmed Frozen III. During his Good Morning America visit, he stated “Jenn Lee who created Frozen, the original Frozen and Frozen II, is hard at work with her team at Disney Animation on not one but actually two stories.”[6] In August 2024, a concept of Frozen III was seen during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23 with its release date pushed to 2027.[7] It was also revealed that the film was delayed from the November 2026 date, and would release in November 2027.[1][8] In September 2024, it was announced that Jennifer left her role as Disney Animation CCO to write and direct Frozen III and Frozen IV.[9]
Casting
In February 2023, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groffwere confrimed to return to the franchise as Anna, Kristoff and Sven, respectively.[3] Idina Menzel and Josh Gad also confirmed their returns as Elsa and Olaf, respectively.[2][4] Though Groff provided the English voice for Sven in Frozen which is viewed from Kristoff's perspective[10][11], Welker provides the sound effects, such as Sven's grunts and snorts.[12][13][14]
Release
Frozen III is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on November 24, 2027 by Walt Disney Pictures.[1]
