Michael Curtis is a television producer and writer. He was a writer and executive producer of Friends during seasons 2 through 5.
He worked with Jonas Brothers and the Disney Channel as executive producer and co-creator of the series JONAS. He co-wrote the biblical documentary ...And God Spoke and directed the series finale of Phil of the Future, "Back to the Future (Not the Movie)" and the Season 1 finale of JONAS, "Double Date". He is co-founder of Mantis Productions along with Roger S.H. Schulman, co-creater of JONAS.
In 2009 Curtis earned a PhD. in Religion from the Universal Life Church. Others awards include two "Emmy Award" nominations for Friends (Outstanding Comedy Series) and JONAS (Outstanding Children's Program), a "Teen Choice Award" for "Breakout Comedy Series" (JONAS), a "People's Choice Award" for Friends and "Most Books Read" (5th Grade) at White Point Elementary School.
He was also voted "Mom's Favorite" -- (1962-64, 1973, 1980-85, and 1997).
