Seraphy Royce is a character that appears in the Game Boy Advance Game Fullmetal Alchemist: Stray Rondo.
Personality
While once a kind and caring individual who lived by the Alchemist credo of "Be Thou For The People", due to using his abilities at the cost of his memory, Seraphy's persona took a severe turn over the years, becoming both aggressive and desperate. Seraphy grew desperate from the pressures of the Ishval Civil War and losing his certification, eventually swearing revenge on the military for his troubles.
History
Seraphy was a State Alchemist known by the state as the Tuning Alchemist (チューニング錬金術師 Chūningu renkinjutsu-shi) who lived by the creed of using Alchemy to serve the people and passed on these teachings to his younger sister Corniche Royce, who attempted to follow his examples. Royce was eventually enlisted to serve during the Ishval Civil War, during which he established a friendship with fellow State Alchemist Aston Martins. During that time, Royce faced losing his certification as a State Alchemist and later was presumed dead.
In truth, Royce escaped the war and swore revenge on the military for the suffering they inflicted upon him. During that time he decided to go by the name "Lincor" and enlisted the aid of two disenfranchised alchemists Randy Rover and Cate Rham to enact his plans of revenge. Lincor would go about using an army of Chimera to spread chaos in East City before being confronted by a Special Squad of State Alchemists which included his own sister enlisted to stop his plans. Lincor confronted the alchemists and unleashed his regenerating Chimera, which was destroyed thanks to the sacrifice of his old ally Martins. The Squad confronted Lincor in his castle hideout where he attempted to use the Philosopher Stone he created to fuse with the castle to destroy the squad at the cost of his memories. After being made to remember his former kind self, Lincor chose to destroy himself before wishing his sister goodbye.
Abilities
Former
During his time as a State Alchemist, Seraphy was known for his ability in medical Alchemy, a trait his sister would later duplicate. Shortly before his disappearance however, it was noted he was about to lose his State Certification.
Current
Under the alias Lincor, Seraphy has shown greater ability with bioalchemy, in particular creating multiple Chimera for combat including producing one so-called Ultimate Chimera with endless regenerative abilities. He would later prove his prowess in this field by successfully merging his own body with an inanimate castle, transforming himself into a Chimera of sorts.
It was shown, that rather than a catalyst such as a Philosopher's Stone, Seraphy fueled his Alchemic abilities by sacrificing his memories, accounting for his radical shift in personality over the years.
