Public Point-of-View

The majority of people see him as a super-hero with an incredible super-power: his good luck. A kid that gets into all kinds of scrapes, though he always emerges triumphant and manages to help somebody. Nobody knows the secret Fred hides and those who do simply don't believe him. Who is going to believe the magical lamp story nowadays?

Pros

Fred is an innocent kid, full of optimism who doesn’t give up when he’s confronted with a problem. The leader of his gang, and a trustworthy friend; even if sometimes he chickens out a little, he never gives up. Fred is an ordinary kid, and a true hero.

Cons

Fred is not your typical hero. He's more of an an anti-hero, who ends up behaving like a hero. Most of the time, Fred, like any other kid, just wants to fulfil his own wishes. What kid with magical powers would study for a mathematics exam? Who would train on a muddy pitch, and put up with tyrannical screams of a nasty coach if they had a pair of magical soccer boots? Fred is a normal kid and he behaves like one. The outstanding thing is that when he finds himself up to his neck in trouble and sees that someone is in need, Fred will use his good heart and courage and behave like a true hero.

Disturbing Feature

Fred could've inherited his father's passion for meteorology or even his mother's obsession for tidiness. However he inherited his most disturbing feature from his grandmother: superstition. Fred is extremely superstitious. He never walks under a ladder. If he sees a black cat he will cross the street, every 13th day of the month he refuses to get out of bed. He once broke a mirror, and even now he still crosses out days on the calendar to see how many unlucky days are left to complete the seven year spell…What a drag!
