Yezi

Lee Ye-zi (이예지), better known by her stage name Yezi (예지), is a South Korean rapper and singer under JG Star Entertainment. She was the main rapper, main dancer, vocalist and the maknae of FIESTAR.

On January 28, 2016, she released her first maxi single "Foresight Dream".

Career

Pre-debut

Prior to her debut as a member of FIESTAR, Yezi was a former underground rapper before becoming a trainee. She released various mixtapes on social media and gained high positive reviews from netizens before she was selected to become a member of FIESTAR.

2012–2018: FIESTAR, solo debut with "Foresight Dream"

She debuted as a member of FIESTAR on August 31, 2012 with the single album "Vista".

In September 2015, she became a contestant on the competition show Unpretty Rapstar 2, where she garnered attention for her song "Crazy Dog". She ended the show as a semi-finalist.[1]

Following the end of Unpretty Rapstar 2, Yezi made her official solo debut with the release of the single album "Foresight Dream" on January 28, 2016.

On May 15, 2018, it was announced that following the expiration of the members' contracts on April 30, FIESTAR would officially disband after six years of activities.[2]

2019–2020: New agency, solo career

On July 2, 2019, it was reported from JG Star Entertainment that Yezi had signed an exclusive contract with them and she would focus on promotions as a solo artist.[3] Her first single under the agency, "My Gravity", was released on January 30, 2020. The single marked her first release after FIESTAR's disbandment, and also her first under JG Star.
