Drexim was a substance secreted by Talyn that provided the ship with its fight-or-flight response, similar to adrenaline in Humans. When Talyn was severely damaged, drexim flooded the passenger area, causing unusual responses from its passengers. John Crichton and Aeryn Sun demonstrated nearly uncontrollable sex drive, while Rygel suffered uncontrollable hunger. Bialar Crais became paranoid and violent and obsessive about his control over the ship considering Stark as a mutineer to the amusement of Aeryn and Rygel. Stark became obsessed about saving the soul of a semi-dead woman and was willing to sacrifice anything to achieve this goal.

It is unknown whether drexim was a normal Leviathan hormone or if it was unique to Talyn's hybrid nature. ("Meltdown")
