NEXUS HEROES (sometimes just called Nexus, known during development as Project Nexus) is a 2022 Fighting Game developed by AlwaysDREGOL for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Its gameplay is very close to that of the Nintendo platform fighter series Super Smash Bros., and from that series, Nexus Heroes also borrows the core idea of it being a crossover game where the playable characters hail from various videogame franchises, such as God of War, Halo, Final Fantasy, Street Fighter and many more. - April 2, 2025: The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct unveiled multiple new features on Nintendo's upcoming console, slated for release on June 5, 2025. Information on the latest installment of the Mario Kart series, Mario Kart World, was shown off - alongside two new games, Kirby Air Riders and Donkey Kong Bananza.
- March 27, 2025: A Nintendo Direct livestream revealed more information on Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Two new games, Rhythm Heaven Groove and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, were announced for release in 2026.
- Janurary 16, 2025: Nintendo officially reveals the successor of the Nintendo Switch console; the Nintendo Switch 2. A Nintendo Direct focusing more on the new system was announced to be broadcast on April 2nd, 2025.
- August 12, 2024: Voice Actress Rachel Lillis; known for her voice work in the Pokémon anime as Misty and Jessie and voice of Jigglypuff in the Super Smash Bros. series has passed away at the age of 46.
- April 8, 2024: Nintendo Network has been terminated. Online play and functionality on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are now discontinued. It is also no longer possible to redownload purchased content on Nintendo 3DS titles
- October 13, 2023: Kevin Afghani announced that he was cast as the voice actor for Mario and Luigi in games. Starting with Super Mario Bros. Wonder, he'll be providing voices for the brothers, replacing Charles Martinet.
- September 14, 2023: Nintendo's final Nintendo direct of 2023 announced a remake of Mario Vs. Donkey Kong. More footage of the Super Mario RPG remake, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, the previously untitled Princess Peach game, now titled "Princess Peach Showtime!", and Splatoon 3: Side Order DLC. The direct ends with a announcement of a remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year-Door.
- August 21, 2023: Charles Martinet; the longtime voice actor for Mario, is officially retiring in doing voicework for Nintendo games. Charles Martinet has also moved into a new role in Nintendo known as Mario Ambassador. As such, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and WarioWare: Move It! will be the first games to not feature Charles Martinet as the voice of Mario and Wario. In the case of the former, the name of the voice actor will be revealed in the credits.
- June 21, 2023: Nintendo's second Nintendo direct of 2023 has announced several Mario games such as a remake of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, A new title starring Princess Peach, A port of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and finally a new 2D Mario platformer titled Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
- February 9, 2023: Nintedo's first Nintendo Direct of 2023 has revealed information about upcoming games including Advance Wars 1 + 2: Reboot Camp, Pikmin 4, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and more.

- September 13, 2022: Nintendo has aired its second Nintendo Direct of 2022, revealing new headlines Fire Emblem Engage and Pikmin 4 coming to Nintendo Switch in 2023. The long awaited sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was revealed to be titled The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and will release in May 2023. Further post-launch content was announced for Mario Strikers: Battle League, Nintendo Switch Sports, Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
- April 14, 2022: Fantendo celebrates its 15th Anniversary!
- February 9, 2022: In Nintendo's first Nintendo Direct of 2022, many headlines were announced for Nintendo Switch, including Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Mario Strikers: Battle League, Nintendo Switch Sports and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. In addition, some games were announced to have content being added in 2022. This included Metroid Dread receiving a free update following the direct including two new difficulty modes, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe receiving an expansion pass, which will add 48 tracks to the game across 6 waves. EarthBound and EarthBound Beginnings were also revealed to be added to Nintendo Switch Online.
