The War Party is a faction of raiders introduced in the Fallout 76 update Steel Dawn.
Background
The War Party is a group of Crater Raiders that has taken upon themselves to defend the Crater and its people from the Brotherhood of Steel and other parties that may threaten the well-being of their people.[2] Although a small group, Pierce assures they have the support from dedicated Craterites, as well as mercenaries.[1][3]
The Party was founded by Pierce after telling Meg Groberg that he and other raiders wanted to fight for the Crater.[4][5]

Pierce: "We're here to ensure that there remains a place for Crater in Appalachia. The more people come here, the more they'll want to take their own space, set their own rules. And then force those rules on others. Crater is our home. Our freedom. Our future. I won't allow anyone to take that away."
(Pierce's dialogue) - ↑ Vault Dweller: "What about the rest of Crater?"
Pierce: "We have plenty of support. Not everyone wants to be directly involved, but those who do are ready to risk life and limb. There's also your fair share of mercenary Craterites just looking for caps. But considering the Brotherhood could probably pay better, I suspect those mercs have an ounce of loyalty they're not willing to admit to."
(Pierce's dialogue) - ↑ Vault Dweller: "Is Meg involved in any of this?"
Pierce: "Meg has enough on her plate without the Brotherhood to deal with. I came to her one day with an army of Raiders, rarin' to fight. She looked at me and said, "What are you waiting for? This ain't no democracy. Just don't get Crater in trouble and we're good." So here we are. The War Party."
(Pierce's dialogue) - ↑ Vault Dweller: "He's doing an admirable thing, fighting against the Brotherhood."
Meg Groberg: "Heh. Yeah, he is. I wasn't sure at first if I should trust him with the responsibility of that fight. But the boy's got a silver tongue. Next time I looked, he already had people rallying. And I ain't one to stop my people from following what they believe in."
