Steady Aim is a Strength perk in Fallout 4.
Effects
Taking this perk grants increased hip-fire accuracy with all guns. Higher ranks further increase the accuracy as well as grant bonus damage when hip-firing.

Rank 2 increases to 40%
Rank 3 grants a 5% bonus to damage when hip-firing.
Notes
- The perk works outside of VATS as well as within VATS.
- Outside of VATS the error cone of the weapon is narrowed, leading to tighter groups.
- Both hip-fire and aimed-fire are improved
- The effects are most noticeable on weapons with low base accuracy.
- Despite the perk description stating "any gun," this perk does not affect shotguns nor scatter guns.
