Mr. Pollack was chaperoning a group of Early Dawn Elementary school students at Lamplight Caverns when the Great War occurred.
Background
Several chaperones comprised of teachers and parents, including Carrie Delaney, Claudia, Mr. Cob and Mr. Pollack, led a field trip to the caverns on October 23, 2077.[1]
When the lights went out and the caves shook suddenly, Mr. Pollack went outside to investigate.[1] When he returned, he reported that he saw mushroom clouds across the D.C. area.[1] Over the following weeks, adults such as Mr. Pollack ventured outside but did not return.[2]
