Jaxon Reed is a deceased resident of the Pitt and the namesake of the section of the Trench known as Jaxon's Noose.
Background
Following the Great War, Jaxon Reed and his dog Morley resided in the Pitt. A sudden, violent tremor caused the surrounding infrastructure to collapse, and Jaxon fell into the earth, losing consciousness.[1] He awoke to a potent mix of sulfur and chemical odors, likely from illegally [2] disposed of Abraxodyne Chemical prototype drain cleaner.[3][4][5] Another fall landed him in an acid pool, and though he managed to escape, the acid partially blinded him. Struggling to ascend from the depths, he heard disturbing, inhuman screams. In his final moments, Jaxon wrote a note detailing his ordeal, expressing regret for not saving Morley, and succumbing to thirst. Unbeknownst to him, Morley survived.[6]

Notes
- Jaxon's corpse can be difficult to find due to the environment of the Trench. His body is found facedown in a pool of water, in between the section of the Trench with the sunken truck, and the section with a collapsible wooden bridge to the north (where Runner's log 01: Career change is found).
- Jaxon's NPC record uses the template of a Responder corpse.
Appearances
Jaxon Reed appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Expeditions: The Pitt update.
