Indexers are digital entities in DiMA's memories in 2287.
Background
Indexers exist in DiMA's memories, which can be accessed using a terminal in the Nucleus Command Center during the quest Best Left Forgotten. In order to retrieve the memories, paths need to be built for the indexers by moving blocks; for their protection against sentry intrusion countermeasures, defense constructs are required.
Characteristics
They appear a bright blue-green in appearance. In DiMA's memory banks, they will wait at the end of their path until a code block is placed in the broken path. The sentry guards in the memories will attack them as soon as they start collecting the memories at the access point. They are similar in appearance to radroaches. While holding part of a memory, they gain a lightly glowing yellow aura of light.
