Hollow logs are white logs that have been hollowed out and have items stored in them. They serve as small hidden caches to aid with survival in the Zion Canyon and will typically contain some type of meat or food item, some antivenom, or some other type of medicine. There are 22 of them in total, and they can be found all throughout Zion Canyon. Follows-Chalk makes the player aware of their existence during the first encounter with him that ends up with him suggesting a trip to speak with Joshua Graham.
Locations
On top of the small hill just west of the Ant burrow.
On a small plateau located just east of the Bighorn Bluff fast travel location.
Along the edge of the cliff just north of the Burial mounds.
Right on the shore of the river at the end of the canyon west of the Patriarchs' campground.
On the right side of the road near the cliff just before reaching Pine Creek tunnel.
On the left side of the road next to a cliff when traveling south from the Sorrows Fork campground.
After passing the suspension bridge northeast of the southern passage, there will be one on the right side of the path near the location where Follows-Chalk is encountered for the very first time.
On a ledge directly over the previous one, requires following the path for quite a while before encountering a sign and turning right at the fork on the road and heading up towards the cliff on the right and jumping onto the ledge and walking south back towards the bridge for the whole length of the ledge to reach the log.
Alongside the shore on the right side of the river when entering the canyon that makes up The Narrows.*
On the left side of the river just past the first totem that is encountered in the Three Marys canyon.
In the camp in the northern section of the Three Marys canyon just before the river begins to bend southwards.
On a ledge on the left side of the river in the central portion of the Three Marys canyon where the river becomes narrower and starts turning east.
Directly on the shore to the left of the river in the eastern part of the Three Marys canyon at the bottom of another White Legs camp that is located just prior to the river turning south for a final time.
Directly north from Wind Wall docks on top of the small hill.
