Hacker is a perk in Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and Fallout: The Roleplaying Game. It was also a perk in the defunct Fallout 76 Nuclear Winter game mode.
Overview
Fallout 4
A perk with four ranks. The first three ranks allow for hacking more advanced locked terminals, while the last one negates the timer for being locked-out from a terminal after a failed attempt.
Fallout 76
A single rank perk, which grants one level of hacking skill and reduces the timer for being locked-out from a terminal after a failed attempt. In order to hack better locked terminals, this perk needs to equipped in combination with its higher tier perks, namely Expert Hacker and Master Hacker.
The perk was also present in the Nuclear Winter game mode until its discontinuation, and was granting access to Nuclear Winter loot terminals.
Fallout: The Roleplaying Game
The perk reduces the difficulty of skill tests to hack computers by one.
